Meeting Minutes, (17 April 2017)

Treasurer:

Sunshine: Frank is not doing well.

Social: Chili cookout, Thursday, 26 April 2018. Fish-out before, chili served at 11:30 AM. Remember to vote for your favourite. Each coin is worth a vote, a Toonie is one vote, 8 quarters are 8 votes. Dimes and nickels are donations, not votes.

Membership: Membership Drive continues. Dave dropped Rack Cards at Learn to Fly Fish Seminar.

Fresh Water:
Salt Water: Bill fished Sooke Basin on Sunday for cutthroat trout, no fish caught.

Gillie Club: Dennis – Salmon Point and Buttle Lake displays. Water levels at Buttle starting to rise.

Environment: Mick – reported on speaker program.

Website: John Pierce – Website's forum is not working well as a messaging system for members as not they are not using. John will create an email address that all members can use for announcements, minutes, fish outs, etc. Ensure you direct any replies only to the individual sending out the message, not to all.

New Business: Astronomy Day Saturday, April 21, with free demos and presentations at the museum from 10-4, and at the observatory 8-11 pm. Clive celebration of life on Saturday, 28 April, 1:30 PM at the Chief Petty Officers Mess.
