Sunshine:Minute of Silence for Bill Gibson
Brian gave short comments on Bill. Condolence Card given to Brian to pass along to family.
Social:Ken Evans is hosting Anniversary party 20 Jun. Details to come from Social Committee.
Membership: Fresh Water:Rob – Prospect 8 RB 1.5-2.0 lbs (gang troll), nothing on Flies
Colin – 11 RB and 1 Bass, Robs fly, Pumpkinhead, Leech, Beaded Nymph.
Bill – Durrance – 2 RB on Beaded Leech
Brian – Langford – Choronimid – Small Black fly
Bob – Cowachin River – no fish, ant hatch, lovely nature walk and casting practice, river was beautiful, insect hatch was up river of Spring Pool
Sandy – saw a float tube on Elk Lake today in the wind and the rain
Match colour of fly to leaves, may increase fish caught.
Members were asked to bring in a sample of the flies used to catch the fish they report.

Fund Raising:Dave reported that GRR contributions are very appreciated by the organizations
Hatchery/Fence:Bill – all fish are ponded. Clipping dates for Jun, Jul and fall will be chosen soon
Environment:Mick – Bill is now a Director of Peninsula Streams Society.
Meetings with CRD personal on Tod Creek. Quality of work is good on Colquitz and Craigflower with controlled water releases.
Pacific Horticultural released silt and warm water down into Colquitz, this has been an ongoing practice which we hope now will stop.
Executive Committee recommended that we donate from Legacy Fund, $2000.00 to WFT.
Sandy – spoke against motion as Legacy Fund is for Trout. Reduce amount from $2000.00 to $1000.00.
Ron – spoke for motion, $2000.00
Mick – this will be first support of salt water
Dave – definition of Use of Legacy Fund is to be developed, no overriding guide at the moment
John P – need to define Legacy Funds use
Jim – Legacy Fund Use needs to be defined
John F – in favour of motion
Rob – take Fund into future, support motion, have dedicated Fund Raising
On a motion by Mick, seconded John F, that we donate $2000.00 to WFT. project "Community Monitoring of Southern Salish Sea Herring" from GRR Legacy Fund - Carried
