Fresh Water:Salt Water:
- Ryan – Good Coho offshore Possession no springs then went for Coho, green flasher, with long leader.
- Bob – Ron Duncan one 17.57# White Chinook took off landed, second lost as 40# leader failed, need to check each time fish on as biting down, used bait via fast drill-bit roll.
- Dennis – Son beachy Head hooked 6 Coho on small hoochy, all off one side of boat.
- Barry – Off Sooke 2 miles, 16" Coho & 12: tommy cod, buddy got 7# Coho and got big fish that at surface was sadly a small seal, got flasher but cut off leaving hook vs losing fingers.
- John P – Sooke Estuary with Dave McLean and Jack Mayer fly fished on rising tide flats with WFA (using spey rods and large colourful Prom Dress flies), salmon jumping, no strikes. Tried Billings Spit, few salmon jumping, ~8 fly and gear fishers, no strikes.
Fly Tying:
- Held last Saturday Sep 14, at 10 AM, 6 attendees, at John P home. Winston showed Pumpkin Head wet trout flies. John not able to host coming Saturday, need volunteer.
- Haig Brown Wed Sep 18 7PM Fly Tying, handlebar and inverted Clouser Minnow. 6 or 8 hooks 2XL.
ACS: Brian – Nothing to report.
Library: Bob Comerford returned two, others still delinquent.
Legacy Fund: Dennis, friend of family donated 20-30 year old gear, on sale table, proceeds to Legacy Fund.
Gillie Club: Dennis – if anyone has any questions, please ask before and after meetings. Going to Sooke River Friday, favourite Sooke River Chum fly tying steps shown on table. Propose one meeting where all bring in favourite two lures for show and tell to each other.
Speakers Program: Bob – today Shore Fishing Buzz-Bombs, next week Jochen Moehr on Mushroom Foraging 101, guests welcome. Upcoming are Grizzly Bears in Artic, & Love of Africa Program. Gaps in October, backup is film on Orcas.
Fund Raising: No reports.
Hatchery: Lee - Clipped 1000 Coho, ready for guests to clip.
Colquitz Fence: Brian - Fence going in today, possible counting Thursday Sep 19.

- Pennisula Stream fund raising dinner and auction, tables may be full.
- BC Freshwater Fisheries - No fall lake stocking yet, but last two years they started on Sep 27 at Prospect & Langford Lakes with 1000 x 0.7 kg trout in each, so soon!
