Meeting Minutes, (22 Oct 2019)

Swim Fest – better access to Swimming in the Gorge Waterway
PSS – to establish a Forage Fish beach on Gorge Waterway
Tues 29 Oct – Saanich Council Meeting – Environmental plans
-       Draft terms of reference – Natural Saanich technical committee
-       Natural Saanich proposed interim measures
-       Natural Saanich environmental policy framework
Royal Oak Golf Course – it is now a dead issue at this time
Elk/Beaver Lake – things are progressing
PICI – going well, clearing of blockages, water quality checks, funders are happy with progress of this project.
Ian and Yogi met to improve flow, water quality etc. for Colquitz and Craigflower

GRR AGM – in Nov to be discussed
Executive – Dave encouraged member to become part of Executive
Ron – items on display are from estate of Rob for sale
Jim – explain difference between Spey, Switch and Fly Rod and showed different reels for each
-       Fishing Sooke, 8 wt, 9'6" single handed rod
-       Switch Rod – 7 wt,  11' can use either 1 hand or two
-       Spey Rod – 9 wt, 15', heavier rod, roll casting,
Weber BBQ – need to store on behalf of Club
