JOHN LAWSON PARK PIER
DESCRIPTION: Short pier into shallow water with large rocks off end.
LOCATION: In park beside kids wooden playground, south of 17th Street.
ACCESS: Good, not stairs.

AMBLESIDE PIER
CRABBING: Low tide satt image shows water around main pier (unknown if rocks), and gravel around side pier.
DESCRIPTION: 50m long pier straight south off of point into deeper water, smaller side wharf to east.
LOCATION: Off south end of 14th Street.
ACCESS: Parking in area but often full, flat no stairs, washrooms 350m SE along beach at Ambleside Park (next to Sunday Artisan Market).
20191203 JohnP visits on grey winter Tuesday at 1pm. Side dock and gangway gone "for repairs", lots of crab rope grooves on pier end. One person crabbing with two trap or nets, one off pier end SW corner, one off end SE corner, couldn't answer if rings or traps, or bait type, or crabbing success (bag closed) as no English.
