WET FLY SHORT STRIKE CAUSES
(Strike but no hook)
Biggest problem is slack in line, one solution is do not hold rod,
Sharpen hook such that will hook on thumbnail when pull across.
Some people think long tail can cause, others not
Trolling may result in fly going past fish and no chance for second bite.
Keep rod in line with fly line close to water to reduce slack.
After hit, do zig-zags in same area as fish are there, helps fly go up and down and different depths.
Change trolling speed.
Fish the hang, park boat, cast too shore, pull in below boat, pull up through the hang.
