Items arising from minutes:1. There were no takers for Covid masks, as offered by Jim M.
2. Barry F stated that he had followed up with the mother of the 15-year-old who was interested in learning to fish, and gave the boy some gear and lots of tips. He will follow up again. Barry was congratulated on a job well-done. Mick also emailed "where to fish" links to Dave C who will pass them on to the mother.
Treasurer's Report: None this week.
Sunshine:1. John F reported that Art R was doing well.
2. Jim M to try and get in touch with Gunnar. Ron D will send Jim an alternative phone number.
Freshwater Fishing Report:1. Winston was at Prospect Lake-Windy but fishing OK. Had two rods out, different depths, quite a few pulls. Black leech fly much more productive than Pumpkin Head. One trout quite large.
2. Colin had luck at Prospect—a 3 and a 2 lb. bass and a 2 and a 1 ½ lb. rainbow. Fishing with a dry fly and also a wet fly.
3. Bob C skunked at Elk Lake.
4. Bill T had hits on Prospect but didn't land anything
5. Ron D reported on Peter Hope Lake trip and other Okanagan spots. Had a good time but very poor weather. Caught quite a few rainbows 15-18 inches. Then fished Community Lake, clear water-could see big fish near bottom. Had luck on Boobie near the bottom. 4 i.p.s. sinking line, down to 25 feet or so.
Saltwater Fishing Report:1. Tony O. went out of Esquimalt Harbour. Caught 1 halibut which was 1 cm short of legality. Lots of baitfish around. Got some crabs.
2. Ken going to Nootka Sound shortly.
3. Considerable discussion of Port Renfrew Offshore Swiftsure Bank trip, with 10 people interested. 1 spot still open. 15, 16 July. $230 per person.
Library:Received some very nice new books, e.g. Morris and Chan, Fly-fishing Trout Lakes, Osprey Fly Box, Also recommended: YouTube Videos by Denny Rickards.
Fly-Tying: Foam Chernobyl Ant pattern. Demo this week on Zoom, Saturday Mornings at 10 am (9:30 for social kick-off)
Hatchery and Peninsula Streams:1. All fish are now ponded outside, and being fed.
2. All school programs suspended due to Covid. However eggs did go out to 110 schools and the teachers hatched and released them.
3. Peninsula Streams has announced a Virtual Gala Fundraiser for later in the year.
4. Beach Clean-ups are still planned
5. Millstream Fish Ladder project started last Thursday.
6. Will be looking for volunteers to clean up Craigflower Creek. Watch your emails. Note that the cost is estimated at $1,000 per sq. metre, excluding volunteer labour!
Speaker Program1. Bob C still looking for speakers for summer and fall.
2. Dave R will do a session on knots-TBA
3. Trip announced with spots available: Haninani Silverback Fishing Adventure, July 2020. Vancouver-Prince Rupert air included. Fishing, accommodation, and meals about $4,000, excluding guides.
Gillie Club:1. Dennis is planning Cluxewe trip for 29 July-18 August.
2. Also Buttle Lake in Fall, probably 9-20 September

Conservation:1. PICI GWI major report being released this week. Results of lots of effort by Mick, and World Fisheries Trust, and others. Watch your emails.

New Business: Ken Evans July pot-luck postponed or cancelled. Not happening July anyway.
