MEMBERSHIP (JohnF): Received email from ArtR & SandyR thanking for Lifetime Honourary Membership, does not include BCWF Membership/Insurance. JohnF to send out Insurance docs and interpretation document. RayW also phoned that appreciate Honourary Membership.

TREASURER'S REPORT (JohnF): No update.
SOCIAL (BobC & BillT): No update waiting for Govt Covid updates.
FRESHWATER FISHING REPORTS (RonD):
1) BarryF: Durrance Lake on boat 2 strikes.
2) DaleS: Durrance Lake on boat trolling using black bunny leach and moth fly at 1 mph. Landed 7 trout, largest at end and Bald Eagle took (again).
3) BillT & Son: Thetis Lake 2 hours 1 hit on dark on dark wooly bugger, 4 hits on Pumpkin head.
4) WinstonJ: Blinkhorn lake (pond) off of Kangaroo. Rd, 1/2 km trail in from parking lot, tough to fish from shore. Has some big cutthroats, hear that many fish rising in night. Nice trail around lake to parking lot (when non-wet).
SALTWATER FISHING REPORTS:
1) BobC & RonD: Salmon fished offshore Beecher Bay / Fraser Island for 4 hours, only small fish, heard next day some big salmon landed.
CONSERVATION REPORT (MickC):
1) Peninsula Streams meeting today - Govt $10mil CESI funding, contract for part to be signed end next week. Looking at $20k fish counting camera system to replace Colquitz fence either at Fence or upstream at Govt Pacific Forestry Centre.
2) Elk Lake Dock Replacement - Reached out to Saanich Rotary.
AMALGAMATED CONSERVATION SOCIETY (BillT): No meeting this month, Website has excellent DFO Southern BC Salmon Presentation (https://acsbc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/2020-21-Southern-BC-Post-Season-Review.pdf).
VOLUNTEERING (BillT):
1) BillT: Hatchery lower tank farm construction ongoing, clipping ongoing, very low dead egg count.
2) BillT: Peninsula Stream exec meeting last week.
FLY TYING MEETING (DaveR): Next Saturday simpler Western Coachman, FlorinS Black Midge, and discussion on how fly patterns have changed.
LIBRARY REPORT (ColinC): No report.

1) DennisG: Have lots of UV materials, works better in salt water vs freshwater, welcome to share.

FUND RAISING: Auction (BarryF): Receiving all material for next auction, agreed to run 2 week blind auction with responses to JohnF, then bids published, and 1 week for final bids. JohnP to send out link with details. BillT to inform BCWF regional clubs so they can also bid.

1) JimM: Many members have excess fishing flies, new members or non-fly tying members are welcome to have some, contact JimM.
2) RonD: Highly recommend Scott Cesari's website (https://www.scottcesariflytying.com) for new fly tyers.
3) MikeC: Several GRR members attended last Tue night West Coast Fly Fishers talk on Cutthroat.
