PREDATOR FLY

HISTORY

MATERIALS
Hook:      4XL streamer style hook Mustad 9672
Thread:      8/0 Black or Olive
Tail:         Pheasant Tail Fibres
Underbody:   Olive or Tan Dubbing
Thorax:      Olive or Tan 1/8" Foam (gap width)
Eyes:      Plastic Eyes  (medium)
Thorax:      Olive or Tan Foam (not as wide as body)
Legs:      Rubber Hackle

COMMENTS
1) Pattern by Skip Morris from his book "Tying Foam Flies".
2) Longer and skinnier than the Taylor Nymph.
2) Back marked with waterproof marker.
3) Slightly buoyant, fished on slow sinking line.
4) Use short leader and erratic, short strips.
