Sunshine Wendy Gedney: Welcome back to Ryan. Dale's wife is progressing.
Social Bob, Mike: 27 people for St. Patrick's Day. The club has suggested that we go to a restaurant for Lunch once a month after the meeting. We had a good showing of hands. These lunches will be on meeting days when we haver a speaker. Our first lunch will be next Tuesday, March 28th at the 4 Mile Pub. Ken Evans will arrange the lunch. A Decision was made to have packaged cookies as the treats for club meetings.
Membership:
Fresh Water:
1/ Barry and Dale at Prospect Lake. Fishing was slow. They caught a 15 inch on a Chironomid.
2/ Bob, Sandy and Tim were at Durance Lake. Sandy caught two on a chironomid fly and Bob caught 3 on a Woolly bugger. Tim had equipment issues.
3/ Reminder that new fishing licences are required on April 1.
4/ There is a sign on Duggan's Lake prohibiting non native fishing. Ken thinks stocking fish with tax dollars should not happen. Letter has been written. Ken will report back.
Salt Water:
1/ Bob and Peter fished for Halibut. Caught lots of dog fish.
2/ Toni caught two under sized springs off water front. Slow fishing off waterfront
FishOuts: April 12 for next fish out. Location to be determined.
Fly Tying: No fly tying this Saturday
Hatchery: Pit tagging at Hatchery. 5,000 will be release in Goldstream. Repair work on aeration tower. Fish depend on oxygenated water. Most of coho will be released next week. Chum are maturing. Fish are behind because of cold weather.

BCWF: Dave going to Annual Meeting of region 1. He will report back.

Legacy Fund: No report
Gillie Club: Donated lake fishing equipment available for no charge.
Speakers Program:
1/ Speaker today on access to Timber West lands.
2/ Next week Peninsula Streams representative will be here next Tuesday speaking on freshwater projects, history and plans.
3/ The club is going on afield trip on April 18 to the Duncan Hatchery. We will carpool People will meet at the club house or other designated spot. Lunch after tour. Pick up locations will be determined.
Fund Raising: Toni emphasized the importance of using the Fairways Card to raise money for the club. The legacy fund continues to be depleted so any fund raising is important.
Environment Mick:
1/ Link to Goldstream Ministry of Highways project , distributed . Protests covered in the local media. Further details maybe provided at a later date.
2 / Colquitz Coalition Zoom meeting by PSS on Wednesday March 29 at 6:30pm . Anyone interested welcome to attend online with Mick .
3/ Craigflower smolt trap installed thanks to Esquimalt Anglers , World Fisheries Trust and others including club member Grant.
4/ BCCF East Vancouver Island flow monitoring project online meeting well attended including Mick and Katrina at PSS.
5/ PSS 20th anniversary gala was most successful. GR&R was recognized both in the printed program and Ian Bruce's speech. Pacific Salmon Foundation representative also spoke. PSS Kyle Armstrong is next week's speaker.
6/ Mick will bring 20 Fairway Market grocery cards for distribution next week.

New Business: New sign looks good on the door. The Outdoor Show is on April 21,22,23. Mike to come out with volunteer schedule. Power cord missing for computer.
