- No luck contacting Sydney Anglers re: Clive memorial. Still working on it.
- BCWF Region 1 General Meeting, 16-18 Mar 2018.
Treasurer:Sunshine: Bill's wife having stitches out. Ryan has cold.
Social: St. Patrick's potluck coming up – 5 pm March 15 at Silver Threads.
Membership: 26 members
Fresh Water:
- Barry on Friday attended Haig Brown fish-out at Durrance. Got one on for a few seconds!! Just 3 people fishing on the lake that day.
- Haig Brown Fly Tyers meeting this Wednesday, tying Dragon Fly Nymph with spun deer hair.
- GRR fish-out next week, 7 Mar on Durrance Lake. Hot dogs and coffee.
Salt Water:
- GRR members fishing on Monday at Whirl Bay, John Francis, John Pierce, Bill Thomas and Helen Thomas, 9 Chinook. Had a great day.
- Cecil reported catching a 14 lb in the Gap.
ACS:Library:Newsletter: John Francis is looking for recent fishing or social photos ASAP.
Legacy Fund:Gillie Club: Dennis reported 95 degrees in Aruba. It you want to fish Cluxewe, book now. Buttle Lake sign up is available at meetings.
Speakers Program: March 6: Regular and executive meetings, no speaker (but John Pierce will do a how-to session on the website and members' forum).
Fund Raising: Get a Thrifty's smile card. Load before you shop, 5% of everything you spend gets back to us.
Hatchery:Environment:
- Mick returned from Mexico, suffering from OCFD (Obsessive Compulsive Fishing Disorder).
- Elk Lake – Emergency water supply for Victoria, get on with solving algae problems.
Website:New Business: Gift box from BCWF contained hats, shirts, bait, etc. which will be available for sale at future meeting.

Speaker: John Pierce gave a presentation on his trip to Astoria, Oregon—very interesting, particularly the Maritime Museum there.
