Social Bob, Mike:
1) Send Mike on what you are going to bring to the Christmas potluck on December 19th. Social 5:00 -Dinner 6:00pm.
2) Motion put forward to give Mike Galbraith $150.00 budget for Christmas decorations. Motion carried. Moved by Ian seconded by Tim.
3) Chinese dinner in new year. Jade garden. Announcements to come in January.
Membership:
Fresh Water:
1) Dale, Langford Lake on Saturday. Very heavy frost. He trolled for two hours with no hits. He Chironomid fished with no luck and trolled to the south end of lake. Fished 16 ft down on downrigger with no hits. Went to 20 ft down caught a full sized 18" rainbow. Fished back and forth by island and caught three 18" on booby, and used cream sickle fly He caught 13 fish in total. All fish caught by the island.
2) Tim: Cowichan River Thursday. Fly fishing only area. Fell in. No fish caught.
3) Andre: Cowichan River. Drift fishing. 15 kilometre drift. Fished upper part. 17" cutthroat, lots of fish. Two browns each. Caught 18" rainbow. Single egg patten weighted. 20 fish day. Average cost for drift fishing Cowichan with guide $ 500. For eight hour day.
4) Dennis: Cowichan lake, lots of fish in the creeks. Would not take anything he offered. He fished in the lake. Lots of fog. 50f, 80 ft down on downrigger. Fished in the "gap" 51 feet down. Four cutthroat caught. Fishing Regulations state you have to use barbless single hook. 19 ½ have to be put back. He then went to end of lake no luck and four more caught at gap.
Salt Water: Two 10lb Chinook reported in Becher Bay.
FishOuts: Fishing was slow on Prospect Lake, average 1 to 2 fish per person. Fish that were caught were thin in body. Hot Dogs were good.
Fly Tying Dave Robinson: This Sat he will be demonstrating the Mayfly emerger.
Hatchery: 2,000 chum in total for this year on river count. Way down from last year. They have enough eggs for the school programs.

Gillie Club: Sample of fly tying supplies. Buttons and Bows on Foul bay road for fly tying material. Knot tying seminar in January.
Speakers Program: Jan 23rd DC Reid.
Fund Raising: Sale in January of all fishing related Items to donate to the club for sale. Request for help from Sandy to put Ron Duncan's stuff together. Other groups will be invited. Open to public. Have it on Sat. It will be discussed further at the next meeting.
