Social Bob, Mike: St Patric day coming up, Pot luck celebration of all things Irish. Green attire essential.

Membership: No report

Fresh Water Dale:
1) Tip of week: Water temperature is important on lakes. Search out for the thermocline. Use fish finder or fishing thermometer to find cooler water in the lake.

Fishout: 14 people attended Fuller Lake. Good hot dogs. Brian Pallas provided coffee. Lots of fish, Mike caught 7. Flies that had olive green colour were catching fish. Good fighting fish. Shore fishers were having luck with power bait.

Salt Water:
1) Fishing slow. Three halibut caught at middle banks off Discovery Island. Jordan River 35 lb.  Halibut. Pedder bay was also good. Fishing off the waterfront is spotty. Dave caught two salmon in Campbell River. Closer to shore.

Fly Tying: 9:00am this week, pink salmon pattern. Surface fly. Zoom meeting: 9:00am

Hatchery: Alvin maturing, clipping tomorrow 11:00 am at the gate. Releasing 10,000 smolts into Prior lake for Craigflower Creek this week. Pit tagging in March.

PSS: Auction coming up. Two fly boxes to be donated. Dave suggested fund raising ideas. He was at a wildlife fundraiser for BCWF.

BCWF:
1) Annual General Meeting March 16, 17 at Qualicum. Info from Dave or Bill. This is a good organization to get local issues get put forward.
2) Childrens camp in mid July. Contact Biil Thomas for more info. Children aged 10-14 male or female. This is a multi disciplined camp, fishing, shooting camping etc. You have to go through our through club to register. Free to the camper.

Gillie Club:
1) Fish see different colours at different depths. Spawning fish see pinks and reds.
2) Dennis will be at Cluxuwe on August 3rd and then fishing in Campbell River. He was scouting out spots to fish on the river. Bring your own flies and equipment to fish for pinks. There are also good hiking trails to use when fishing is slow. Bill Thomas recommends the passage view motel for accommodation.

Speakers Program: Gerry Walsh gave an excellent talk on his work with treaty negotiations. Adrian Cark from Freshwater Fisheries will give a talk next Tuesday.
