ACCESS: From north end of parking lot, walk 600m down wheelchair accessible path or shortcut down steps to the beach.
FEATURES: By beach are picnic tables, large flush toilets with outdoor shower, accessible pit toilet, tap, garbage cans.
20200712 Sunday, not busy, with spouse JohnP picked 80 mostly Varnish some Littleneck clams at low 4.5ft tide, ate for supper, still gritty.
20200626 JP park in lot on Friday at 12:30pm, very busy, beach at low tide of ~1.1ft, great exposure, lots of picking clamming, took 60 Littleneck Clams (max per license), many people appeared to be way over limit. Also lots of Varnish Clams and further out Cockle Clams, but did not take.
20190406 JP park in lot on Friday at 7:45 (gate already open), only vehicle. Walks to beach at rising medium tide at ~7.3ft, minimal exposed flats. Dug for clams with cultivator in high-intertidal gravelly sand for 1hr, gets 8 Varnish Clams, but returns as not legal to keep by DFO. Note: Water out and main toilets closed.
