MEMBERSHIP (JohnF): All paid dues except 1 previous Member.

SUNSHINE REPORT (Wendy Gedney & Pat Psaila): No report.

TREASURER'S REPORT (JohnF): 2 month update, reviewed Dec 2020 report sent to Executive.

FUND RAISING:
1) Elk Lake Fishing Dock (MickC): Updated estimate is $200-250k of which $125 committed by CRD & $25k from Fresh Water Fisheries. Reviewing handicap funding options with Dirk.
2) Thrifty Account (SandyM): Revenue declining, please use Smile Card available from JohnF.
3) Auction (BarryF): Donated Orvis Rod & Reel action completed, raised $200, JohnF to inform donator.
4) Auction (BarryF): Received and cleaned out donation from passed Howard Armstrong spouse, Members to send Barry their excess gear by end January for larger auction, proceeds to Legacy Fund.

SOCIAL (BobC & BillT):
1) February 2021: Tour of Millstream Salmon bypass, coffee and donuts, will check max number and schedule.

FRESHWATER FISHING REPORTS (RonD):
1) BarryF: On Durrance Lake last week 4 trout on wet flies, small Black Bunny Leech.
2) DaleS: On Durrance Lake 4 trout on wet flies.
3) KenE: Walked Durrance Lake, shore fishers no strikes.

SALTWATER FISHING REPORTS:
RyanA: Out Sunday 2 salmon.
KenE: Someone off Esquimalt Anglers getting Prawns and salmon

AMALGAMATED CONSERVATION SOCIETY (BrianP): No meeting this month.

VOLUNTEERING (BillT):
1) BillT: Hatchery quiet, taking Chum eggs to Saturna Island Hatchery, end of January will take eggs to schools.
2) BillT: Collected sand to check for Forage Fish eggs.

FLY TYING MEETING (DaveR): Next Saturday, Irresistible Fly (great for Cowichan River) & DonA to discuss his fly tying tools.

CONSERVATION REPORT (MickC): Ongoing, no significant issue.

SPEAKER PROGRAM (BobC): Jan 26: Protecting Mother Ocean (Dwight Owens), Feb 9: Conspiracy Thinking (Dr Simon Several), Feb 16: Boosting & Maintaining Brain Power As Grow Older (Dr David ??), Feb 23: Quadra Island Lone Wolf, others in work. Will add more.

LEGACY FUND (BarryF): Nothing new to report.

GILLIE REPORT (DennisG): Checking on Buttle Lake reservations, website still saying closed for season, so don't know when open for booking. DavidC: Roche Lake Resort no answer.

LIBRARY REPORT (ColinC): No update. JohnF has RobertM's books, will take to ColinC for sorting and Library or Auction.

WEBSITE (JohnP):
1) Some on Executive Spoofed & Phishing, sent out warning email. Removed email addresses except one from website, will move to Contact area.
2) Please be judicious on replying to Chat email as goes to ~70 accounts.

NEW BUSINESS:
1) DavidC: Some recent Chat emails have caused concerns in others. Please use for fishing and social activities only. Please send jokes, pictures directly to members who are interested.
2) BillT: Peninsula Streams to have auction in Feb, request people get flies to BillT for submission, agreed to fund storage boxes if required.
