Minutes of Last Meeting: Motion to Accept: Dave seconded by Mike

Items Arising from the Minutes:  Card to be sent to Wallis family.

Treasurer: Sandy Raven: John close to getting books done. They will be ready for next meeting. Motion to change signing to Bill, Tony and Sandy. Seconded by Mike.

Sunshine: Wendy Gedney. Chris Wade going for chemo treatment. Brian Canfield is in hospital in Vancouver.

Social: Bob ,Mike: No report

Membership: No report

Fresh Water: Nobody fishing

Salt Water: Good reports from the waterfront. Beacher Bay, Sooke slow
 
Fish outs: Wednesday, Feb 15th, Elk lake, South African sausage to be served. Bring own drinks. Trapper cabin on Cowichan River, overnight small cabin. John to investigate

Fly Tying: Last Saturday the Ray Wallis special was tied as well as a scud. Go to the club's website to view. Next Saturday, Feb. 10th at John Pierce's house will be any fly you want to tie. Contact John for more info at john.pierce@live.com

Hatchery: 20,000 eggs to Saturna, Lyall Creek, 900 chum returned from last year. One of the few creeks on gulf islands that have returning salmon. Grant, Mike and Bill fished for Sea run cutthroats, no luck, Bill demonstrated how the eggs arr transported and put into the creek.

PSS – looking for new members. $10.00 Lots of volunteer opportunities

BCWF Region 1 AGM Marche 26, 27, at Courtenay Fish and Game

ACS : Meeting well attended by all local fishing and environmental groups. Bill Thomas represent GGRR and the hatchery

WFA : Fishing the San Juan river for sea run cutthroat trout was slow,but the scenery was spectacular and great camaraderie

Library: No Report

Legacy Fund: No Report

Gillie Club: flags used to be on members boats. No interest shown for acquiring more. Peter l. is ordering his own. New lure Dennis will try at Cowichan Lake. Wiggle fin action fish. Cannot wait to see how it works.
   
Speakers Program: Niki Wright will talk on Eeelgrass. March is fully booked for speakers. Check on line for Calendar for upcoming speakers and fish outs

Fund Raising: See John F. for Fairways card. Fairways gives 5% of your purchase to the club

Environment: Mick Away 

Website: last Saturday fly tying was posted. Mike will take pictures of members to be posted to our website this is optional for members.

New Business: 25 flies in three boxes for fund raising. Barry to build up inventory, if people donate to him. They can be used for new members or future fundraisers.  Exec meeting next week. Lapel pins. 100 to be ordered. Mike to bring more information. Publicity of new dock for Outdoor show.
