Called to Order:  10:00 AM

Attendees:. Items Arising from the Minutes:  4,837 fish were clipped by club members at the hatchery. Another clipping session will be held at a Future date.

The First fly tying session on zoom was well and attended.

Fishing gear sale to club members on the 29th April. The general public on May 3rd

Bill Carnes donation of 1,000 to club. The Carnes family will be hosting a hot dog feast at a fish out in  April.

Using GRR chat line use reply to sender not reply to all.

Photo albums will be disposed of. Take photos if you want to.

BCWF provincial annual meeting on 24 to 26 April in Dawson Creek

Treasurer: 

Sunshine: Wendy Gedney.  Card to be sent to   Sven Ericson family.

Social: Bob, Mike: Chinese New Year.  Wait to 22nd to reserve Don Mee restaurant on Fisgard on   Jan 29th . A poster was sent out.  Let Mike know if you plan son attending.

Outdoor show. Looking for taxidermy fish for booth . 

Membership: 

Fresh Water: Dale: Pierre: high Water level at ramp.  Fish are 19 to 20 feet in depth. Bite is on early 10;00 am. Lots eagles looking for fishermen catching fish. Fish are biting on worms, Williams wobbler ,Wedding band . Wee tads and small Rapella.

Salt Water:  Halibut 1st of February. Clover point to trial island best location.  Size is getting 10-12lbs. Sooke and Beecher Bay. Fish close to bottom. Pedder bay is a hot spot right now. Fish by Green buoy is Fish along drop off.

Herring at finest at sea. Freezing for halibut .

Fish outs: This Thusday.  Hamsterly Beach North end of lake.  Hot dogs at noon.

Fly Tying: This Saturday. Bass fly. 9:00am.  Talk, 10:00am fly tying. 

Hatchery:  30,000 more fish to clip. 32,000 eggs to Saturna. Bill saw two Coho in creek when he was there. Feb march of this year.

WFA:  minutes sent out . Meeting 7:30 this Thursday at Esquimalt anglers. Zac from Robinsons will be speaking on Steelhead fishing..

Gillie Club: Dennis going early to Cluxue. Questions give Dennis a call.

Passage view hotel in Campbell River. Dave to reserve 4 rooms for pink fishing in august. Golden Rods and reels gets a discount.   
   
Speakers Program:  Tim Witoski to speak on pontoon boat fishing,
Present history of coal harbour whaling. Lyall will attend Feb13 meeting on herring conservation.
Photographic demonstration on whaling.  Blue whale 94feet long. Projected harvest 20% of herring stock In strait of Georgia.
History of herring.

Environment: Mick talked about history of clubs work on restoring Odonnel Creek that flows into elk Lake.  Original dock was put in by the  club and funding for the new dock  was got  with the help of Yogi  and Saanich rotary and was successful in getting finances to build the new wharf.  Oxygenator turned off probably because water is cold . Budget $100,00 Per year.
