Executive Meeting Minutes (9 October 2018)

ATTENDANCE: Robert McConnell, Sandy Raven, Sandy McElroy, Dennis Gedney, Art Raven, Mick Collins, John Pierce, Ron Duncan, Barry Freeman, Wynn Brown, Brian Palas

OPENED: 10:30 AM

OLD BUSINESS:

• Bill Thomas still waiting for Exec Members to send him short one paragraph Job Descriptions.
• Ron Duncan as New Exec lead for Nov 27, 2018 AGM said doing well, but not all positions filled.
• Art Raven still to contact James Bay Anglers club which has dropped to 40 members.
• Ron Duncan coordinating fishing topics for Nov, Jan and Feb.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Robert McConnell proposed webpage to honour Exceptional Service GRR Members. Approved Sandy McElroy to report back at Dec 4, 2018 Exec meeting with draft criteria and initial material.
• Mick Collins asked for interest in donating up to $500 to Omega Pacific Hatchery in Port Alberni. Will report with info at next GRR Meeting.
• Dennis Gedney asked interest on building Workplan to have GRR own a Clubhouse, agreed has merit, Dennis to revert with more details.
• Mick Collins proposed up to $300 for Bill Thomas to attend Region 1 BCWF Semi-Annual Meeting in Parksville Dec 2, 2018 at GRR. Approved with Bill to feedback at GRR Weekly Meeting.
• Sandy Raven confirmed that Christmas Lunch is on Dec 11, 2018 but location still to be determined.
