Items Arising from the Minutes: Microphone is the problem, not speaker. Rob will look into getting a new one.

Treasurer: Treasurers report and budget next week. DUES ARE DUE NOW!

Sunshine:

Social: Sandy, Goldstream Soupfest and Hot Dog Thursday Nov. 8 at 12:00, arrive early and help. Bring chairs, crockery, cutlery, sides and desserts, and dress warm. Xmas Lunch Dec 11, closing date for sign up 1 Dec.

Membership:

Fresh Water:

• Barry – Durrance, two 8" trout; Jim – Bait fishers catching in Durrance, 13" trout.
• Book from Westcoast Fly Fishers is recommended reading and is on our website.
• Another book from WFF on fishing the Sooke River, again on our website.
• Jim – Fix waders on the inside, it looks better.  Jim presented with Fish Hat by Barry. See pics on website.
• 4,000 trout put in Elk Lake this week.

Salt Water: Billings Spit – lots of fish earlier, but after rain, nothing.

ACS:

Library: Books are available, fishing and non-fishing.

Gillie Club: Nothing

Speakers Program: Nov. 13 – Jim Macdonald on winter maintenance of fishing gear.

Fund Raising:

Hatchery/Fence: Goldstream hatchery has collected a good number of fish (coho, chum and chinook). Colquitz fence is decommissioned after unexplained fish deaths.

Environment:
Sidney Summit – 10 Nov, 9:00 – 6:30 various speakers. Bill and Sandy to attend on club's behalf.
Peninsula Streams Fund Raiser – 17 Nov.

Education Co-ordinator John P handed out drafts of new website fishing calendar, to show when fish are biting and where.
