TINSEL/MALLARD & SILVER/ALEVIN FLIES

HISTORY
20210306 Demonstrated at GRR Weekly Fly Tying by Member Florin Sabac, recording viewable on our YouTube Channel.

MATERIALS
Hook:      #8-10 Togen saltwater, Mustad 34007, or Ahrex NS110
Thread:       Black Uni 8/0 or Danville 3/0
Body:       Silver Mylar tinsel reinforced with silver wire
Wing:       Natural or brown Mallard (olive should work, too)
Throat:       Orange feather, bead, or synthetic fibres (on the Alevin only)

COMMENTS
1) These are three patterns but tied almost the same way.

PICTURES
1) All are tied on different style size #8 hooks.
2) The wings are all Mallard, either natural or dyed.
3) The orange beads are tied under the hook and then secured with some UV resin (epoxy may be better?).
4) All three patterns are in Art Lingren's book.
