Victoria Golden Rods and Reels Fishing Club
Executive Meeting March 7 2023

Attendees: Mike, Bob, John, Bill Mick, Dave, Sandy, Art, Gerry, Tony.

Outdoor Show: No reply from WCF or other partners for our booth. The show is on  April 2 and Tony mentioned that our booth might look a little bare if we are the only ones there. 

New Signing Officers: Sandy, Bob, Bill to be new signing officers. We will meet at Coast Capital Tillicum Mall. following next Tuesday's meeting.  John Francis will write up a resolution letter indicating the change of signing officers and set up appointment time with bank

Update on pot luck. Executive authorized extra expense for cake and decorations. Job well done by Mike

Fish Out: The next fish out is set for April 12 .it was suggested that Thursday would be a better day to hold them.

Prospect lake boat ramp Ken Evans is promoting new boat launch at prospect lake park and would like a letter of support from GRR to  take to Saanich

Speakers Program  Dave Cooke is the current temporary director of the speakers program. We need to be  looking for his replacement for speakers' program. Dave says that we are booked till the club starts up again in Sept.

Club Meeting: The last meeting to be held is June 27th and start up is Sept 12.

It was suggested that at the next meeting we propose that treats be provide by two people with a sign up list of volunteers for each meeting. These could be donuts, muffins or homemade goodies. It was also suggested that once a month members could go for Lunch at some eatery in town after the  meeting. A volunteer coordinator would be needed.

Move fish out dates depending on weather.

BCWF $50 honorarium approve for Dave Cooke to attend the BCWF meeting

All fishing gear gone. Bill will bring fur to Haig brown.

Mike got orders for his fly tying station. Thanks club for publicity

Fair Ways Card The executive needs to promote the Fairway's Card .Mick will register for more cards.

Fund Raising:  We need to have a volunteer{s} to help with fund raising. PSS Fund Raiser March 18th $50.00.
