Called to Order: 10:00 AM

Items Arising from the Minutes
1) trap at Colquitz is doing well. GRR Volunteers show up on Thursday. A 14 " lamprey was caught. They are native to  B.C. . 4,000 smolts have been counted so far.
2) Craigflower trap has had no fish caught in last 9 days.
3) Decca lake trip cost is $600.00

Sunshine Wendy Gedney: Sven Erickson is in the hospital   

Social Bob, Mike: Chilli cook off tomorrow. 4 chilli dishes with buns. 10 people have said they are coming. Bring an appetizer. Meal is served at 12:00. Meet at the pavilion by the Rowing Club at the south end of Elk Lake. Take first left turn after light at Haliburton road.  Elk Lake by rowing club. Walk path to pavilion.

Membership:

FRESHWATER:
1) Dale: Landed 16. 18.25 "caught by Barry. Second day Landed 14 .All caught on bunny leach.
2) Tip of week: don't use your propeller to cut your tippet
3) Cut your flash at back of fly un even to look more realistic.
4) Dennis. Cowichan. 4 fish one day, 7 next day. 35 or 40 feet. School up Kokanee. 65 ft troll fast with spoons. 50 pulls out on downrigger.
5) Blobs of Lokanee can be seen on depth sounder that move around. Try to keep up on top of them. Leaks in aluminum boat use glubet available at industrial plastics.
6) Ryan was fishing Prospect Lake using gang troll and wedding band and had good luck.

Salt Water: Peter
1) Poor weather. Kept fishers off the water.
2) Sooke fair for halibut at Muir creek
3) Beacher bay fair for salmon.
4) Victoria slow. Ling cod fishing good. Off Brochie ledge.
5) DFO. June Coho season opens. Two hatchery limit.
6) Pete's fishing charter. List for halibut fishing and Coho fishing. Name and contact list. Names randomly picked at a meeting.
7) Second week in June and last week will be fishing dates.

FishOuts: This Thursday at Prospect Lake, hot dogs served at noon. 

Fly Tying: No fly tying till the fall.   

Hatchery: Cleaning tanks, preparing for next season. All fish in ponding tanks 65,000, normally 110,00. Low coho amount.

PSS: Forage fish for surf smelts. 12 June. at Esquimalt lagoon. Keep your eye out for invasive green crabs. Destroy if found.

BCWF: Plugs must be removed on boat when trailering your boat.

Environment:
1) Mick was at meeting for: widening of two bridges over Colquitz. Pans to be given later. Tire and tar run off. Bus on shoulder project a/ Tues June 4 at 1:30 pm onsite visit to proposed beaver pond restoration area downstream from Galloping Goose Craigflower Creek  replacement. Please contact Mick if interested in attending.
2) Mick attended online meeting with Stantec & Highways Ministry for widening two bridges over Colquitz River. Recommended opportunity for Ministry to review all existing stormwater management /runoff/drainage for entire bus on shoulder project to handle toxic tire compound & other pollutants.
3) Please contact Mick if you have any concerns that he can raise at CRD Parks Elk/Beaver Lake Recreational Advisory Committee on Thursday June 6
