Called to Order: 9:30 AM

Members Attending: 23 + 3 guests Tony Otten, Ron and Sunae Elbe

Minutes of Last Meeting: Adopted as distributed

Items Arising from the Minutes: Flies are being sold at $.10 each

Treasurer:John – reported on Feb details, $75.00 collected for Food Bank matched by Club for $150.00, use Thrift's Card, it makes money for the Club

Sunshine: Bill and Betty are in our thoughts. John Guinane  is having a little trouble. Colin is resting up.

Social: Sandy R – St Patrick's Day Dinner, Silver Threads, 5:30 pm, Pot Luck, Thursday 14 Mar

Membership: Sandy - Memorial Book – a work in progress

Fresh Water:

• some fishing in Elk and Langford
• John F viewed Cowachin River, looks good
• Fish out, Durrance Lake, 27 Mar

Salt Water:

• Ryan – Fishing off trailer park and waterfront, some days, fishing is hot and cold
• John F – Halibut season opened, they are biting.
• Rob M – Halibut scraps, from Thrift's are a good price & Finest at Sea is the same.

Fly Tying: Will be at Rob McConnell next Monday, details to follow

ACS:

Library: Dave C has taken over.

Legacy Fund:

Gillie Club: Dennis – anyone want to sell small aluminum boat, see Dennis. Cluxewe, call Dennis if you want to find out if fish are there or not during that time.

Speakers Program: Chronimid Fishing techniques next week. Sandy – chornid flies available for sale

Fund Raising: 

Hatchery/Fence: 1000 Todd Creek pit tagged fry going in Thursday.

Environment: Mick

• Meeting of BEES (Beaver/Elk Environmental Stewards) 3pm Sunday, contact Mick
• BCWF Region 1 Kids Camp – Jul 14-19 (Free)
• On a motion by Ron and seconded by John F, $500.00 donation to BCWF Region 1 Kids Camp.  Carried
• Mick thanked club for support for Symposium in early April
• PICI – team meeting at end of month, review literature search. Work Plan including restoration will be discussed. Presentation to various club by World Fisheries Trust on PICI

• Dave - Article in Times Columnist, says Coho in Gulf of Alaska
• Ron – we are a fly and bait fishing club. Anyone interested in presenting on Bait Fishing? Dave suggested Dennis
• Rob – Handout on Bait Fishing
• Dave – Contacted WFA
• Sandy – bring cold weather gear, Durrance Lake using Spinning Gear off fishing dock, date TBA
• Rob – Shore fishing fish out, a few years ago was a success
