(Bivalve Shellfish is DFO designation for Clams, Mussels, and Oysters)

20.4 Sombrio Point east to Sheringham Point Lighthouse
20191116 DFO says all 20.4 closed.

MUIR CREEK
Clive Lane favourite location for Mussels.
20191122 Explored headland on west side of creek at 2/3 low tide, all boulders, no mussels, possible further on.

STOHL ROAD BEACH ACCESS
Location: Park at Stohl Road turnoff on S side of West Coast Hwy, walk west down beach 100m to headlands for Mussels.

PARK-ISLE MARINE BEACH
Location: Park on S side West Coast Hwy, 300m past Park-Isle Marine

ELLA BEACH
Just west of Sooke.

EAST SOOKE TRAIL
Mussels coat lots of the intertidal rocks along beach-accessible parts of the walk




20.6 Lower Sooke Harbour from mouth (line from W Sooke to Sooke Point with new Ocean Cottage Resort) to south side of Billings Spit

WHIFFIN SPIT SOUTH SIDE
Location: Very popular spit - park 3 km south of Sooke in middle of Sooke Harbour.
Access: Very popular parking lot at east end, easy walking trail on spit.

Location: 500m to south of Sooke River.
Access: From Billings Spit or from Cooper's Cove Oyster Farm on Belvista Place.
