FLY: Nymph - Chromie

POPULAR: This fly is the Chromey (various spellings) a nymph version of the chironomids you will find on the internet. A go-to fly for trolling lakes for trout; introduced to me by Jim McDonald a few years ago.

MATERIALS

  • Hook: 10-14 size
  • Thread: Red or black
  • Body: Silver tinsel or mylar
  • Rib: Red wire
  • Throat: Brown hen hackle
  • Wing: Brown hen
