FULLER LAKE

LOCATION: Fuller Lake is located near the No. 1 Highway just before the main turn off to Chemainus. Coming from Victoria, turn right from Hwy.1 onto Fuller Lake Road, and immediately left again onto Poplar Road. After a few meters you will see a boat ramp to the right with enough parking space for 2 or three cars. Further parking is available along Poplar Rd. and further on a large parking lot in Fuller Lake Park.

DESCRIPTION: About 20 hectares, 50 acres and up to 17 m deep. Only electric engines, no gas powered engines are allowed. It is regularly stocked with rainbow trout. In 2023, Fuller Lake was stocked 10 times with a total of over 7,000 Frazer Valley triploid raibow trout in sizes of 202 to 276 g. Other than Rainbows, there are cut throat trout and smalll mouth bass to be found.

FACILITIES: Park on SW shore.

FACILITIES: Kathy Chilcot at Teddy's Tackle in Chemainus a few years ago included the
following four nymph patterns: Green Butt Bear Hair, Flash Back Pheasant Tail Nymph, Diawl Bach (Gaelic for "little devil"?!), Fly Craft Fullback.
