BEACHY HEAD / PIKE CREEK

GENERAL - PIKE CREEK

  • Small creek.
  • Location: Meets ocean ~0.5km east of Sooke Point Ocean Cottage Resort.
  • Access: Park at East Sooke Regional Park - Pike Road Parking Lot and walk 1.5km south down old logging road to coast.
  • Access: Park at end of Ocean Park Place, walk ~200m to SE along Coast Trail.
GENERAL - BEACHY HEAD

  • Location: Rock outcrop, can get close to shore but need large salmon net to land.
  • Access: Park at East Sooke Regional Park - Alyard Farm Parking Lot and walk old logging road, or walk along coastal trail.
REGULATIONS - DFO AREA 20-5

  • FISHING
  • July-August = Coho & Chinook.
HISTORY
20200725 TonyO reports that two weeks prior was fishing in ocean off of Secretary Island for Coho with green/white spoon (lots) and that people shore gear fishing from rock outcrop ~200m east of Pike Creek where big drop off and looked like doing well.
20200725 MikeC says that near Pike Creek outfall, at low tide there is a sand bar access to small Island that can shore fish from.
