Outdoor show: No interest from Westcoast Flyfishers. Volunteers must commit to their times or find a replacement.

Signing authority: Bill and Sandy completed Bob C needs to get signing authority.

Our last Chili cookout was successful. Donation for cook outs to go to general revenue

Membership fees are due on Nov.1

Dave Cook encourages more people to fish on island rivers

Mike would like to see a trophy for fisherman of the year

New Business: 8 new members showed up at first meeting 

Business cards: Sandy to look into it.

Financial: Little money coming from Fairway card. last year three people used them. A number of factors were raised why people are not using them. Not convenient to shop there is probably the main reason. Sandy mentioned that with the current dues we are a breaking even with no money for donations to worthwhile causes.

Membership Dues: Suggested increase to $75.00 to cover expenses. Increase Ass. member Dues. to $30.00 family to $100.00. The dues have not been raised for 10 plus years. Dues are to be used for operating expenses.

Elk lake fund has come in over years. The fund is used by Mick to support his expenses doing environmental work. This fund works as petty cash fund for him

The legacy fund is harder to withdraw money from. Tony mentioned the legacy fund is getting low and will run out. The Wallace family started the fund. $8,000.00. Request to use it comes in from members, ie salmon enhancement. It was decided to let the legacy fund expire if no more funds are donated to it.

Social: November fish watch and Soup.  Christmas party at club house. Club provides turkeys with members providing pot luck Pot luck. January Chinese New Year at Red lion.

Fish out Durance Lake $5.00 fee. Oct 18th.  Hot Dogs provided and members bring drinks and desserts.

Speakers program as it was is no longer working. Speakers can still be requested at UVic. We need a volunteer. Mick will put together job profile.

AGM Date needed in November. Tuesday November 28th, We need a volunteer to canvas for new members for executive. All present members of the executive are willing to return.

We need a new membership list with up to date phone numbers. Gerry said he cannot do this every time a new member join. You have to go to the members list on our web page.
