Motion to accept the minutes last meeting: Moved by Barry, seconded by Andre.

Items Arising from the Minutes: Change minutes of June 13th to temperature of air 30 degrees not the temperature of the river. Members going to Spinnakers for lunch for John's last meeting

Treasurer: Sandy Raven: Nothing to report

Sunshine Wendy Gedney: Bill Thomas's wife had small stroke, and Gerry has infected foot following his arrival home from trip.

 
Social Bob, Mike: 28th June potluck 11.00am at Ken Evan's place. See Ken's email for directions. Please bring a dish to share, plate and cutlery, and chair.

Membership: Two new members. Rob B. is looking for fly fishing tips. Kobus E. is looking for general fishing and club events.

Fresh Water:
1) Barry and Dale fish Elk Lake Thursday and Friday, they caught four carp and one trout. Barry lost one big carp. Go to the internet for information  on how to catch them.
2) Tim caught a 19" Bass at Thetis lake casting close to shore using a Woolly Bugger.
2) Dave, Colin, Christopher and Mike went Kokanee fishing in the Cariboo region. They fished Bridge Lake and Little Decca lake. Lots of fish showed up on the fish finder. They caught kokanee. Dave has booked accommodation for next year. The weather there is unpredictable. Little Decca Lake can be fished with float tube. Big Decca with larger boat.

Salt Water: Not much happening. Weather has been keeping anglers off the ocean. Some Coho are being caught. Peter Is servicing his boat and will not be out for a week. We learned that the wings on skate are good eating. When fishing for halibut you sometimes catch them. Good crab fishing at the green buoy outside the inner harbour.
 
FishOuts: August 8,9 10 fly fishing in the Campbell river for Pink Salmon. Please let Bill Thomas know if you want to go. Two to a room. $79.00 sharing. One room is booked. Two are left. This is a great fishery.

Fly Tying: Fly tying is over for season. Fly tying demo at Maritime Museum. Dave will put details on chat line.

Legacy Fund: $2500 cheque to world fishery trust for work on Elk Lake. The club got the funding from BCWF.

Speakers Program: Club will start up September 12. Dave will book a speaker for last Tuesday in September.

Fund Raising: Use your Fairway card

Environment Mick:
1) Report on elk lake water quality. Was sent on Chat. BCWF donated 5,000.00 GRR donated 1,000. This report will monitor the effectiveness of the oxygenator that is being installed.
2) Mick was at a meeting on Swan Lake. The lake is highly filled with algae. Mick will send info on chat line.
3) Craigflower Creek flow monitoring. Mick to meet with three specialist and CRD to see what can be done monitor water flow and what can be done to increase the water.
4) Elk lake water safety. Mick asked for anyone who had safety incidents on the lake, with rowers or watercraft. Several members had incidents. Barry phone the rowing club to report that he had been struck by rowers. Rowers are supposed to check on every 12th row. Ken suggested coordinating with other clubs and mentioned that rowers should have guide boats. Mick will take concerns to the forum being held by CRD.
