Items Arising from the Minutes:
4 soup vol. Lee, Bob, Andre, need one more.
Flies for fly boxes
Speaker's program volunteer required. Please give this some serious consideration. It is an important role in the club.

Treasurer Sandy Raven: Dues are payable after Nov.1. Please no money before that date.

Sunshine Wendy Gedney: Ron Duncan is trying to put some weight on. He might welcome a phone call.

Social Bob, Mike: Goldstream Soup. Waiting to see how fish are running before setting a date

Membership: Waiting for badges

Fresh Water:
Barry: Fished with Rob at Durance lake not much happening. Caught a pumpkin seed.
Brian Pallas fished Fuller lake, did well.

Salt Water:
Peter's boat still under repair.
Fishing in Sooke still good for Coho.
Victoria waterfront slow.   

Fish outs:
Wednesday, Oct,18, Durrance Lake. Club will provide Hot dogs. Bring drinks and desserts. $5.00 fee.

Fly Tying: Dave will do flyting this Saturday by zoom. Coffee and chit chat at 9:00. He will tie two old flies one being Watkins Fancy. Thes flies go back from 1930 to late 1800s. Go to club website click on the link.

Hatchery: Fence is in at the hatchery. Waiting for more fish. Expecting more with this rain

PSS: On going projects.

BCWF: We need someone to write a letter about our lack of confidence in DFO.

Gillie club:
Dennis fished the Sooke River for chum salmon. Tried a few flies without success. Ira special no luck. Used a pink fly with wings using reel backing. Snapped his rod bringing in fish too soon. He was the only one on the river.

Speakers Program: No speakers scheduled for October. WE need a volunteer to be our speaker coordinator.

Fund Raising: Let's use the Fairway card. It is our only source of income.

Environment: Mick
1/ Elk/ Beaver lake monitoring plan, post oxygenation with the CRD . The Beaver Elk Environmental Stewards (BEES) are meeting to discuss their role. The BEES have also coordinated an in person and online meeting at Swan Lake Nature House Sunday October 29 with other groups to share information relevant to other lakes in the region.
2/  Craigflower Creek hydrological analysis with the Province is still under discussion.
Mick is also meeting online with representatives of Swim Drink Fish organization who are just starting their program in Greater Victoria
