•   Introduced new member Gary Badgley, historically salt water, now fly fisher.
•   John P and Gerry W to meet and update the Membership List.

MOTION TO ACCEPT THE LAST MEETING'S MINUTES: Moved by Barry seconded by Colin.

ITEMS ARISING FROM LAST MINUTES:
•   Goldstream Social 4 soup vol. Lee, Bob, Andre, need one more.
•   Bring Flies to Barry Freeman for new joiner Fly Boxes
•   Speaker's Program volunteer required, please give this some serious consideration. It is an important role in the club.

TREASURER Sandy Raven (acting Gerry):
•   Fees & Budget reviewed at last Exec Meeting, ok but tight, propose Member = $75, Associate = $30, Family = $100. Motion moved by Norm, seconded by Dave Robinson, approved.
•   Next week Sandy will present budget at next meeting, and detail payment method(s).

SUNSHINE Wendy Gedney: Checked on Ron D.

SOCIAL Bob, Mike:
•   November Goldstream Park Soup: Date waiting on fish arrival.
•   December Christmas Potluck (MikeG): Location at clubhouse, date Tue Dec 19. Club provides Turkey, bring side and desert dishes.

FRESH WATER:
•   Gary B: Lots of chum some chinook and coho in upper Sooke pools.
•   Bill T: Fished Sooke with Dennis G, several fish.
•   Ryan A: 1800 stocking trout put in Elk Lake and 1800 in Langford
•   Colin C: Went to Little Qualicum R with Chris W, minimal fish.
•   Dave C: Campbell R full of large Chinook, still some fresh Pinks and off chum.

SALT WATER:
•   No reports

FISHOUTS John P:
•   Wednesday, Oct 18 @ Durrance Lake. Club will provide hot dogs. Bring drinks and desserts. $5.00 fee.
•   Fly Casting Session: Dave R at Elk Lake's Hamsterly Beach – if interested contact Dave R.

FLY TYING Dave R:
•   Last Sat tied flies on Zoom
•   Sat Oct 14 Zoom by Florin.
•   Sat Oct 21 in person at JohnP house Sat 10am-12pm

COMMUNITY:
•   Hatchery Bill T: Feeding Coho fry, clipping ongoing, fence in river, catching salmon brood stock.
•   PSS: Various projects.
•   BCWF Dave C: No update.
•   ACS Bill T: Minutes sent out.
•   WFA Bill T: This Sunday has invited GRR Members to their annual FishOut & BBQ on Sooke R, hot dogs, burgers, raffles.

GILLIE CLUB: No report.

LIBRARY: No update.

LEGACY FUND: No update.

SPEAKERS PROGRAM:
•   No speakers scheduled for October, we need a volunteer to be our speaker coordinator.
•   Job Description and booking template made by Mick C to be sent out.
•   UVic Speaker Bureau no longer exists.
•   Third Tuesday of month reserved for speakers.

FUND RAISING: Let's use the Fairway card, it is our only source of income. Tony O to check on Save-On Foods to see if similar program.

ENVIRONMENT Mick: No update this week.

WEBSITE John P: No update.

NEW BUSINESS:
•   Donation of lots of feathers (Norm) and life jacket donated whistles (IanC) at back of room.
•   We need a secretary to fill in for the next two meetings. Please contact Bill Thomas if you can do it.
•   Interested in Fishing Island River, contact Bill T.
•   Tue Nov 28 is AGM, current Exec staying.
•   Mike G: Annual Outdoor Show GRR booth, no action as early.
•   Ian Cameron: Have spare lead from saltwater fishing days.
