Gillie Club: Dennis brought flies for Sooke River chums.  Cluxewe had reasonable pink fishing, was there for 22 days this year. If you want to go next year, book early (bookings open Jan 15). Keogh River, 30 min drive, 45 min long arduous hike past the Port Hardy airport, but good fishing.

Speakers Program: Mick – Speakers list for the fall is filling up. Mick needs volunteers to help coordinate UVic and fishing speakers.

Environment:

  • CRD staff have postponed business case for aeration of Elk Lake because they are not confident of their cost and benefit numbers.
  • Blue lights still shining from Johnson Street Bridge, Dave still working on it.

New Business:

  • Members are asked to distribute GRR rack cards to appropriate locations.
  • GRR were contacted by Elk Lake rowers to discuss permanent buoyed lanes in lake. This is because Rowing Canada would like to put training for men and women's Olympic teams in one location. GRR was asked for letter of support (not at this time). It was noted that because of the high profile of this action, politicians will be very active. There are some serious concerns which need to be looked at.
Meeting Adjournment: 10:56 AM

Speaker: No speaker, Executive Meeting.
