Treasurer: John gave Treasurers Report as 31 Dec 2018. Question please contact John.

Sunshine: Bill and Betty are good. Card received from Pat Owen thanking Club for Poinsettias.

Social:

Membership:

Fresh Water:

• Robert – No Fishing by Club members
• Schedule of Fish Outs – Thetis and Langford Lakes suggested. A Regular time each month.
• Jim – Bottom fishing (Chrionomid Fishing)
• Colin – Roche Lake Has Resort, 2 lbs and up fishing. Last 2 weeks of May and 1st 2 weeks of June. Sandy have more choices of different Lakes in the area at the same time. More info and details will be forth coming.

Salt Water:

• Dave - Blue Lights under Bridge are out in the evenings. Waiting for response from our letter.
• Ryan – lots of little fish (4 lbs). 16" fish on Banana spoon. Some Double headers.
• Dave – Fly Fishing for Bone Fish – 15-20 mins each fish
• John – Was fishing with Good Time Dave in Dec, caught some
• Bill – Good Time Dave late February, looking for 2 more to have 4 in boat.
• Fly Tying at CPO Mess Haig Brown – 16 Jan 2019

ACS:

• Dave Items from Meeting – Herring Fishery is in decline, Letter requesting 30 % reduction in Harvest to DFO
• Closures of Salmon Sport Fishing and Commercial Fishing!
• A request for Commercial Crab fisheries curtailed by DFO.

Speakers Program: Speakers lined up for next few months.

Fund Raising:

Hatchery/Fence: Hatchery is going full out. New initiative of implanting Fish Tags.

Environment:

• PICI review. Went for more funds - Loblaw Fresh Water Funds, Fresh Water Society of BC. Progress report was sent to GRR Chat.
• CRD is looking at flow of water over Thetis Dam and Craigflower.
• Salmon Community Consultation Meeting on Thursday 10 Jan, 1767 Island Hwy, Kinsmen Fieldhouse and Salmon Enhancement Meeting, presentation by CA Melissa on Tuesday, 15 Jan 4636 Elk Lake Dr.
