Meeting Minutes, (5 Feb 2019)

Called to Order: 9:30 AM

Members Attending: 19 + guest Lorne Cowley

Minutes of Last Meeting: Adopted as distributed

Items Arising from the Minutes:

• Map of Parking around Silver Threads.
• Jim presented parking options, raised questions and a List of Search Criteria.

Treasurer: John presented Treasurers report, 31 Jan 2019. Questions or copy of Balance Sheet contact John. A question asked was:  What are we going to do with Legacy and Elk Lake Fund?

Sunshine:  Art – Ray and Shirley do OK, Bill and Betty good, John Edge doing fine. Food bank is in need of Donations. For next week, Give $10.00 per person plus Club to Match moved by Jim, seconded Sandy Carried.

Social:

• Thursday, Chinese Dinner.
• St Patricks Dinner at Silver Threads Mar 17, 5:30 pm.

Membership: List is being up dated, will be published ASAP

Fresh Water:

• Robert – John and Dave went Cowachin River, no fish, no bites.
• Roberts Fly, given to him by Ray Wallace.
• GRR Fly Tying – Mondays, 1:30 PM, 1553 Clive Dr,  Victoria – a good time is had!! Gold Ribbon Hares' Ear next Monday.
• Dave – Haig Brown, 3rd Wednesday of each month
• Dennis – bring in Ray Wallace specials next week

Salt Water: Ryan – slow fishing this week.

Legacy Fund:

Gillie Club: Dennis – Cluxwe and Buttle Lake info available. Jim has ordered Circle Hooks from Japan.

Speakers Program: last 2 weeks of May will be internal as attendance at these weeks may drop off to members going fishing.

Fund Raising:

Hatchery/Fence: Hatchery is proceeding a pace. Meeting for Colquitz Fence this month. Herring Roe Fishery petition was passed around.
