Member Jochen Moehr reports: I have just come back from Matheson Lake, where I was from 1 to 2 PM on Saturday Mar 23 with my dog, not fishing, unfortunately.

Outside temperature some 14 degrees C, very little wind, scattered clouds and a bit of sunshine, and to my surprise I watched the most active surface feeding I have seen there ever.  I did not see many insects coming off.  What I saw looked - from afar - like March Brown Mayflies.  But the surface feeding activity was amazing,  Four times I counted the rises during one minute, and I counted 11, 8, 12 and 14 rises respectively.  So it might be a good idea to try a floating line and some dry flies - on Matheson Lake and perhaps others!
