Sandy McElroy needs a volunteer to help with pricing Ron Duncan's fishing gear.
New fly boxes $10.00, this is good deal. See Mike or Bill.
Dale: Previous two weeks were excellent for fishing Prospect Lake. Dale was out yesterday and the fishing has slowed down. There is algae bloom on. Cold water slowing down could be a factor in the bite being off. He did catch 18'' rainbow which was thin in body size.
Jim and Gerry: Had good luck on Prospect Lake using a Cowichan spoon with a wedding band, caught an 18" Rainbow.
Tony: Fished Prospect caught 3 with lots of hits. There was a Damsel fly hatch. They could not find a matching fly for the Damsel fly.
Tim: Fished Cowichan River south of Skutz Falls. Could not get his egg pattern down. Caught small rainbow and brown.
Bob and Dave Larson: Fished Cowichan River with egg Pattern and no luck. Fishers on river boats reported good fishing further North on the river.

Salt Water: All quiet on the Ocean.

FishOuts: Fish out tomorrow at Prospect Lake. Hot Dogs served at 12:00pm.

Fly Tying: Email out Thursday or Friday for fly tying this Saturday.

Hatchery: Chum and Coho run have ended. Coho runs have been good on island except the Gold stream. Poor chum return. Fence is being taken out tomorrow. Final day tomorrow for stream walkers count. We have enough chum eggs for schools only. 2,000 pit tags in coho Thursday. First pit tag was from Washinton state. Egg takes. If you would like to see an egg take be at the hatchery gate 8:30 this  Friday and Saturday. Go past Campground main entrance, just past old Ma Millers pub.
